A new video showing the new PhysX Supersonic Sled demo that was recently shown running on the GF100(Fermi) has been uploaded to YouTube, this time most of the video shows off the bridge in the demo and how it is constructed out of PhysX objects and what happens when the bridge gets destroyed either from the sled going over it or apparently the bridge can be destroyed from within the menu’s of the demo. The video also shows the demo being paused so you can zoom in on the bridge and look at each of the PhysX objects. Definitely cool stuff here, we are hoping that once the new NVIDIA cards are released this will be a new tech demo that can be downloaded and played with.
We recently posted about An In-Depth Look at the PhysX Supersonic Sled Demo that shows slides detailing the demo check it out here, and be sure to check out the other cool videos of the PhysX Supersonic sled demo we have posted about before:
Czech website PCtuning has posted a series of slides from NVIDIA that go in-depth with the new PhysX Supersonic Sled demo that was recently showcased at CES 2010 on the new GF100( Fermi ) Video card. We have previously posted many videos that have showed up of this demo in action and many people are wondering what the big deal about it is. These slides will explain to you why this new PhysX demo is so fascinating, it has given Nvidia a way to show off the latest and greatest in PhysX technology and the future of games, from PhysX Smoke,Fluid, Dust and Particle effects to PhysX based destruction and a new PhysX based character that uses PhysX joints to simulate rag doll effects. After reading through these slides you will get a better understanding of what is really going on in the PhysX Supersonic Sled demo videos you have seen and what PhysX is going to bring to games in the future when more and more developers start to implemented these awesome PhysX features.
If you have not seen the PhysX Supersonic sled demo in action you may want to watch the following videos we have posted about before reading the slides:
As a lure, while a perfect demo of the new opportunities to developers GeForce Nvidia literally won a new demo Supersonic Sled. It could perfectly show the possibilities of new hardware while allowing the user to play with all the detailed parameters and effects. Do not miss two videos at the end of the presentation, one is official and it looks nice.
Second made during the presentation that is a blurry picture because of the 3D display, but it has a very interesting comment directly from the developer.

EVGA has uploaded a new video of the PhysX Supersonic Sled Demo that was first showed off at CES 2010 last week. The new video shows the PhysX based sled moving along the track at different angles from what we previously saw and shows some impressive PhysX based destruction as it blows past the wooden house. The demo which is done in DX11 is also made up mostly of PhysX destructible’s along with PhysX smoke that reacts to it’s surroundings. The demo is supposedly going to be a new tech demo for the new Fermi video card’s that are going to be released within the next few months so hopefully we will get a chance to download and play with it soon.

I am pleased to announce that GamePhys will soon have a dedicated test and benchmarking system for the site. This was a project I have been meaning to do since I started the site back in 2009 but never got around to it. The first phase of this project really got started this past BlackRead More
On Friday at GDC 2012, Aron Zoellner and Kevin Newkirk of NVIDIA presented a really nice hour long session titled Enhancing Games with APEX PhysX (Clothing, Destruction, Turbulence). In this presentation they went over the features of APEX PhysX Cloth, Destruction, and Turbulence which we have seen implemented in recent games like Mafia II andRead More
We have been hearing rumors for the past year now that AMD GPU’s will be used in the next generation consoles however, aside from reports that the Xbox would use a Fusion variant of Bulldozer, we have not been hearing to much about the actual CPU that may be used.
