PhysX Rocket Sled Demo Showcased On NVIDIA GF100 Fermi Video Card Triple SLI Setup [VIDEOS]

Legit Reviews made a pretty nice video of the new PhysX Rocket Sled demo running on a triple SLI GF100 Fermi setup being showcased at CES2010. Check out the video below. The idea of the demo itself may not be that interesting but what is fascinating about it is that most of the objects in the demo are rendered as PhysX objects. The smoke is also PhysX based and not just as animation and as you can see from the video the PhysX based smoke moves and reacts to it’s surroundings. The video states that the demo was an in-house engineering demo to show off tessellation and DX11 features. Since it was made to show off  DX11 and has heavy PhysX implementation NVIDIA probably won’t release it to download even if they do for a few months until the new Fermi video cards are released.

The second video is from golem.de and shows more of the demo all the way until the end, check it out below or here.

From Legit Reviews:

Legit Reviews got a chance to look at test system that had not one, but three GF100 Fermi graphics cards running in triple SLI demo. The demo is being narrated by NVIDIA and all looks great until the very end. GF100 is due out in March 2010, so the driver team is still tweaking the software on these graphics cards. NVIDIA also announced that GF100 was in volume production today, so it looks like Fermi will still be out in Q1 2010.

This second video from golem.de is slightly better video quality showing a complete run through of the video all the way to the end, notice as the sled moves past the house it is destroyed.
