The Battlefiled Bad Company 2 PC Beta and Xbox 360 Demo have both been out for about a week now, lots of people have been having fun playing it and have been amazed at the physics and destruction the game features. Within the first few days of the release we posted about The Physics and Destruction of Battlefield Bad Company 2, showing off some of the physics and complete destruction in the game. As we said before “The game uses the Frostbite Engine and pretty much everything on the battlefield can be destroyed, trees fall down, houses collapse, concrete walls get blown away creating paths not there before, craters are left in the ground, giant holes get blown in the side of the house, at the end of a match there is not much left to hide behind the the entire battlefield looks different like a giant battle did take place”.
The destruction in Battlefield Bad Company 2 is some pretty amazing stuff, even if you don’t like the game itself it is definitely the right step torwards the future of games and really adds to the gameplay and replay value along with the possibilities of gameplay and different tactics that can be used. In case you have not been playing the beta or demo we have put together a collection of videos that have been posted to YouTube showing off some cool destruction 2.0 footage showing the buildings on the battlefield getting blown to pieces and then fully collapsing once the structural integrity degrades beyond a certain point. Check them out below and be sure to check out our previous post about The Physics and Destruction of Battlefield Bad Company 2.
