Earlier today it was reported that NVIDIA would be showing off Dark Void with GPU PhysX at CES 2010 this week. Also Shacknews was reporting that the demo for the console versions of Dark Void would be released this week but with no word on the PC version demo. Now Big Download is reporting that they emailed Capcom’s PR reps to find out if the demo would be released for the PC anytime soon and the response was not what we want to hear.
from Big Download.com:
The publisher announced today that the demo for Airtight Games’ third person action title will be released tomorrow for the Xbox 360 and Thursday for the PS3 and will let folks with those consoles check out both on-foot action as well as its signature jetpack action.
The full game is also coming to the PC but when Big Download emailed Capcom’s PR reps to find out if the demo would be released for the PC as well the response was simply, “Looks like it’s console only.” And so yet another multiplayer game release puts the PC version on the second class citizen level.
Pretty big dissapointment not just because the PC community is once again getting treated like but it would have been nice to have a new GPU PhysX enabled game to play around with.
